After watching 'Sleigh Bells ''Infinity Guitars'' myself and danielle decided that we really like the way that a strong image was portrayed throughout the video, the video begins with a female walking into the shot wearing a striking varsity jacket, this is a very effective look, i believe this is because a varsity jacket has very stiff leather sleeves which make the woman appear broader and therefore in control, we will be hoping to achieve the same effect by dressing our male model Miles in a very similar varsity jacket. Athough the jacket Miles will wear does not have the traditional varsity leather sleeves, a thick felt has been used which creates the same effect.

Indie is a very up to date genre and is generally associated with the younger generation. A very large part of the indie lifestyle is fashion. The music video that myself and Danielle make will heavily revolve around the indie image and therefore fashion is a key part of our video that we really hope will catch our target audiences eyes. The target audience for the music video is males of females aged 15 and over and typically people who would nomally show an idie style through fashion or their typical music choices.Below are examples of indie fashion.

I particularly like the quirky stance of the girl in this image and i believe that this would be a very strong still image within the video. The picture could be improved with the use of an artistic background. I also think the picture would appear more proffesional if the lighting was altered so that the girls face appears brighter, i think that this would give the image an overall more proffesional look.

A very obvious neutral colour scheme has been used on this image which is very typical of indie fashion. Although the clothes look very up to date and fashionable I am not sure that this neutrally based colour scheme would stand out well enough in the video I think this outfit would be perfect if a vibrantly coloured jacket or over the top accesory was added to grab the audiences attention.
I like the busy background that has been used on this image as it really makes the central image stand out and although it is very busy it does not take away from the image. I like the posed used on this photo as the male looks very relaxed and confident.

Risk Assessment
Answer? Yes
Severity? Medium
Likelihood? Medium
During filming there could be a lot of possible falls from things such as wires connecting speakers and my laptop to the tripod the camera is positioned on. We will monitor this and make sure we are as safe as possible making sure Miles and Jo know about the structure of the setting. They will also be using props that could fall unexpectedly we will be careful with the use of props to ensure minimal if any injury.
Tripping hazard?
Answer? Yes
Severity? Medium
Likelihood? Medium
Similar to the point above there are a lot of things that could result in one of the actors tripping, some we cant do anything about and some we can, we will have to watch out for the elements we can monitor like leads and wires however somethings will just happen and therefore we cant do a lot about these.
Vehicles?
Answer? No
Severity? N/A
Likelihood? N/A
We were going to use a scene of Miles and Jo arriving at my house in a car and entering, however we decided against this so there are no vehicles in our video.
Special effects?
Answer? No
Severity? N/A
Likelihood? N/A
Weapons?
Answer? No
Severity? N/A
Likelihood? N/A
We haven't used any weapons in our Video as they wouldn't of been fit for the genre so we don't need to consider this.
Burns from lighting?
Answer? Yes
Severity? Low
Likelihood? Low
There is a risk of burns to our actors from lighting, however they are slim as most of the lighting will be natural and the lights used will be positioned above their heads so they wont touch them accidentally.

Band Prints

Caribou is the stage name for Daniel Victor Snaith who is and electronic musician. This poster is one major picture as the focus I like chosen photograph and how it doesn't relate to the artist but that the colour is bright and aesthetically pleasing. The font is simple but bold and large to also engage the readers attention.

I really like the image in this poster as it is colourful and bright with a black background and white text the contrast in colour is used to catch the attention of the reader. We will be using my burger phone and various animal masks, plus possibly my brothers climbing frame which is why I chose this print as inspiration.

I think this print is really effective, it is simple in colour as its black and cream. I also like the way the text relates to the bands profile, the band are a three piece from Wales who produce indie/pop music. The photo is a sharp mid-shot, that shows the attitude of the band perfectly which is what they are about and the style of image we are going for.

Over the weekend myself and Danielle did a small photoshoot with the chosen actors for our video so that we could see how their styles work together and also to test out and problems that may occur with the camera we will be using as a large part of our video will be a number of stills.
We asked both of our actors to bring a variety of their clothing with them on the day so that we could see how they would look in a variety of garments, we found that with our female acrtress Joanna she really flattered earth like colours because of her two-tone hair colour whilst Miles looked best in light colours because of his fair hair and blue eyes.
This picture features Danielles dog (Blue) who will be featured in a small number of stills in our video, problems may occur when trying to keep Blue still when taking photographs but this a problem we will have to overcome at the time and we will have an alternative prop available incase the problems cause a lack of work being produced.
Although the tale of Danielles cat being blind and deaf s not a particularly cheerful one this will infact help with our filming as it has a very calm temperament and we hope to use a number of stills where the cat appears to move across Danielles bed.
We found that Jo was very photogenic because of her striking eyes and flawless skin, the woolen jumper featured in this photograph is one which we are considering using in the video as it is very unique and not one that most people will have seen before, it also really flatters her pale skin tone and would also contrast well with Miles' clothes lighter colour scheme.
As Miles and Joanna both own a pair of 'Vans' (footwear featured in image above) we hope to use them within the video, myself and Danielle also own a pair each and as all are in different colours we will brainstorm ideas on how they can in some way be introduced into the video.
We took this photo to show the way in which we will be taking photos of the models from a variety of angles, the flash on the camera has also caused a shadow to cast on the wall behind Joanna which has given it an effective artistic edge.
The image above is the balcony of danielles bedroom, we are interested in taking shots from the garden from a low angle looking up at our actors leaning over the balcony. The low angle camera shot will also make our actors look superior and in control, we could however cause the opposite effect by filming from the balcony and looking down on the actors.
Masks will be used in various stills throughout the video to add an individual edge to our song.
Miles our male model will be pictued wearing a variety of different garments throughout the video, this will change from still to still and although it will be time consuming it will be well worth it as it will give our video a very artistic flare.
A variety of effects willl be added to the stills, this simple rotation is easily applied yet still effective.
Miles' clear skin will work well with close ups and with bright lighting it will also help our video look more proffesional although a small amount of neutral make up may be applied to any small blemishes.

Stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.

The xx- Band profile
Sometimes I feel like throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying Lord I just don't care
But you've got the love I need To see me through
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough
And things go wrong no matter what I do
When friends are gone I know my saviour's love is real
Your love is real
You got the love, You got the love, You got the love
You got the love, You got the love, You've got the love
You got the love, You got the love, You've got the love
You know its real, you don't don't I know,
You know its real,
You know its real, you don't don't I know,
You know its reaaal,
You know its real, you don't don't I know,
You know its reaaal,
You know its real, you don't don't I know,
You know its reaaal,
Sometimes I feel like saying Lord I just don't care
But you've got the love I need To see me through
Sooner or later in life the things you love you lose,
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Chosen Actors

Myself and Erica really like the shots in this video, the transition between shots and how smooth they are. We also want our Actors
to have the same sort of confidence and presence as this girl does in this video. TO BE CONTINUED.
