The xx- Band profile
The xx are an indie/rock band from London, they formed in 2005. Despite starting as a four-piece, The xx became a trio when their second guitarist and keyboardist Baria Qureshi left the group in late 2009. In September 2010 they won the Barclaycard Mercury Prize. The xx self titled album was ranked 'Best Of The Year' by NME in 2009. They have also toured with artists including 'The Big Pink' and 'Micachu'. Their first single 'Crystalised was featured on iTunes as the single of the week during the end of the same year. They are signed to Young Turks and produce all their music through them.
