Photoshoot.

Over the weekend myself and Danielle did a small photoshoot with the chosen actors for our video so that we could see how their styles work together and also to test out and problems that may occur with the camera we will be using as a large part of our video will be a number of stills.

To take the photographs we placed the camera on a proffesional tripod, the tripod contains a small device which allowed us to make sure that the camera was placed parrallel to the floor, this is yet another thing that will allow us to make our photogrpahs look completely proffesional. The camera we used also has a very strong flash which gives the photographs a strong contrast which gives the illusion of proffesional lighting

We asked both of our actors to bring a variety of their clothing with them on the day so that we could see how they would look in a variety of garments, we found that with our female acrtress Joanna she really flattered earth like colours because of her two-tone hair colour whilst Miles looked best in light colours because of his fair hair and blue eyes.

This picture features Danielles dog (Blue) who will be featured in a small number of stills in our video, problems may occur when trying to keep Blue still when taking photographs but this a problem we will have to overcome at the time and we will have an alternative prop available incase the problems cause a lack of work being produced.

Although the tale of Danielles cat being blind and deaf s not a particularly cheerful one this will infact help with our filming as it has a very calm temperament and we hope to use a number of stills where the cat appears to move across Danielles bed.

We found that Jo was very photogenic because of her striking eyes and flawless skin, the woolen jumper featured in this photograph is one which we are considering using in the video as it is very unique and not one that most people will have seen before, it also really flatters her pale skin tone and would also contrast well with Miles' clothes lighter colour scheme.

As Miles and Joanna both own a pair of 'Vans' (footwear featured in image above) we hope to use them within the video, myself and Danielle also own a pair each and as all are in different colours we will brainstorm ideas on how they can in some way be introduced into the video.

We took this photo to show the way in which we will be taking photos of the models from a variety of angles, the flash on the camera has also caused a shadow to cast on the wall behind Joanna which has given it an effective artistic edge.

The image above is the balcony of danielles bedroom, we are interested in taking shots from the garden from a low angle looking up at our actors leaning over the balcony. The low angle camera shot will also make our actors look superior and in control, we could however cause the opposite effect by filming from the balcony and looking down on the actors.

We will be giving the video a playful and childish edge by including this play area in it, we are thinking of having Miles hanging upside down from the stop of the swings as he is very tall and it would make for a very interesting image.
We will be using a variety of props within the video including this aesthetically pleasing unique burger phone, in a quiet section of the song we will add non diegetic sounds of the phone ringing.

Masks will be used in various stills throughout the video to add an individual edge to our song.
Miles our male model will be pictued wearing a variety of different garments throughout the video, this will change from still to still and although it will be time consuming it will be well worth it as it will give our video a very artistic flare.

A variety of effects willl be added to the stills, this simple rotation is easily applied yet still effective.

Miles' clear skin will work well with close ups and with bright lighting it will also help our video look more proffesional although a small amount of neutral make up may be applied to any small blemishes.

This picture featured some scooby-doo slippers which will be yet another prop used within our video, although they are not very apparant in this photograph, closer shots will be used to make them stand out.
