Reasoning For Song Choice

Myself and Danielle have chosen the song 'You Got The Love' by Florence Welch and The XX. We have chosen this song because it has a variety of tempos within it that will allow us to encorporate lots of differnet styles of editing within our work. We have decided that the video will move at a very fast pace to keep it interesting. Aswell as filing clips for our video we will be including alot of stills,we will have to ensure that the use of stills within our video does not give it an amateur appearance, we can overcome this by taking a mass amount of photographs so that they move at a quick pace and also by using a tripod and high resolution camera. We are undecided about the use of a narrative at this point, as it happens, we may not include one atall, however, if we do then we have had an idea about a males eyes opening as an establishing shot, this will work well with the 'dreamy' style music at the begginning of the song. After doing a preliminary excercise involving lip syncing we have decided that it is a very effective technique and something that we wish to include within our final music video, there will be beoth a male and a female singing in our video and suitable people will be chosen as parts to portray a suitable image to match the indie theme.
